Gabriel Eduardo, known as Windows96, is an electronic music producer from São Paulo, Brazil. Active since the mid-2010s, he creates atmospheric, genre-fluid tracks built on airy synths, textured percussion and subtle melodic shifts. His sound blends nostalgic tones with a modern electronic sensibility, moving between ambient moods and more rhythmic, expressive moments.
After a lightning strike destroyed his home computer, Gabriel produced his early breakout albums One Hundred Mornings (2018) and Enchanted Instrumentals and Whispers (2019) on borrowed school library machines. These releases established the core elements of his style and continues to shape much of his later work.
He maintains a low public profile, occasionally exploring side projects under different aliases and creating his own distinctive visual artwork, known for its saturated colors and surreal environments.
Despite minimal press coverage, Windows96 has built a large global listenership, with millions of plays across YouTube and major streaming platforms. His music remains a fixture in online electronic communities and continues to evolve with each new release.
